Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team on a 1-year consulting assignment based in Sweden. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert with strong Python skills, deep experience in the Azure ecosystem, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions with minimal onboarding.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines, integrations, and APIs.
• Work within the Azure cloud environment, leveraging services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Functions, Storage, and related tools.
• Implement and support ETL/ELT workflows, data lake architectures, and real-time or near real-time data processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver pragmatic, scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience working in Azure.
• Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT, orchestration, data lakes, and streaming/real-time processing.
• Experience with APIs, integration patterns, and cloud-native data services.
• Background working with large-scale enterprise or industrial environments is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results under tight timelines.
