Senior IT Engineer

<h3>This is a remote position.</h3><div><b>Only LATAM-based candidates (bilingual in Spanish and English)</b><div>We are seeking a highly skilled <b>Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer</b> to join our remote IT team. This role is ideal for a proactive and experienced professional who can handle advanced troubleshooting, manage and improve IT infrastructures, and ensure the stability, security, and scalability of both internal systems and client environments.<div><b>Responsibilities</b><ul><li><div>Provide advanced technical support and remote troubleshooting for network, hardware, and software issues.</div></li><li><div>Manage, monitor, and optimize servers, user accounts, and security settings in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and cloud environments.</div></li><li><div>Administer, configure, and maintain IT systems, backups, and disaster recovery processes.</div></li><li><div>Design and implement infrastructure improvements to enhance performance, security, and scalability.</div></li><li><div>Configure and support networking components (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing).</div></li><li><div>Support automation and integration of IT systems using tools like Zoho, Monday, or similar platforms.</div></li><li><b>Hands-on experience with QuickBooks is REQUIRED</b> (the candidate must be comfortable supporting users and troubleshooting QuickBooks-related issues).</li><li><div>Lead or assist in incident response efforts, including security-related events and high-priority outages.</div></li><li><div>Document procedures, configurations, and technical environments accurately.</div></li><li><div>Assist with onboarding and access management across multiple client accounts.</div></li><li><div>Escalate critical incidents to the Head of IT when necessary while maintaining ownership and follow-up.</div></li><li><div>Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows, reliability, and security standards.</div></li><li><div>Ensure compliance with security and data protection best practices across all environments.</div></li></ul><br><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or MSP environments.</li><li>Strong knowledge of networking (firewalls, VPNs, Windows & Mac environments).</li><li>Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.</li><li>Experience managing backups, disaster recovery, and endpoint security.</li><li>Familiarity with automation or system integrations (Zoho, Monday, or similar tools).</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.</li><li>Strong English communication and documentation skills (B2–C1 required).</li><li>Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fully remote environment.</li><li>Reliable workstation setup and stable internet connection.</li></ul><br><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li><div>Long-term contractor collaboration.</div></li><li><div>Fully remote work environment.</div></li><li><div>Exposure to diverse U.
