Staff Software Engineer – Special Projects @ Chairman Office

Kraken is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Special Projects team at the Chairman's Office. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Rust or a similar systems-level language, experience designing and operating distributed systems, and a proven track record of shipping complex technical systems. The team is fully remote and has Krakenites in over 70 countries.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Rust or a similar systems-level language such as Go, C++, or similar
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production environments
• Strong understanding of low-level networking, concurrency models, and performance tradeoffs
• Experience building real-time or latency-sensitive systems
• Proven track record of repeatedly shipping complex, high-impact technical systems
