Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in system architecture, enterprise IT, or GIS system design.
- Demonstrated experience designing and supporting enterprise GIS architectures.
- Expert knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise environments and components.
- Strong experience with system integration, infrastructure design, and cloud/on‑prem hybrid environments.
- Experience supporting federal cybersecurity requirements including FISMA, ATO, POA&M, and CVE remediation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, and automation frameworks.
- Ability to produce clear technical architecture documentation and diagrams.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 4a / BI background investigation.
Duties:- Lead Enterprise GIS architecture design across SELC phases: planning, requirements, design, development, integration, testing, implementation, operations, and disposition.
- Design and document GIS system architectures using open standards, COTS solutions, and approved technologies.
- Coordinate with project managers, infrastructure teams, software developers, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders to produce integrated technical designs.
- Design scalable and secure hosting environments, including on‑premises and cloud‑based GIS infrastructure.
- Develop architecture for data storage, backup, disaster recovery, system resiliency, and high availability.
- Define and oversee infrastructure‑as‑code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated monitoring solutions.
- Ensure GIS architectures comply with DHS and USSS security frameworks, including FISMA, ATO, POA&M, and vulnerability remediation requirements.
- Support Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation, security assessments, and continuous monitoring activities.
- Provide architectural guidance for integration of ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise components, custom applications, and external systems.
- Support integration and testing activities, including design validation, technical reviews, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain and update system architecture documentation, diagrams, and configuration baselines.
- Provide Tier 3 operational support for enterprise GIS environments, including incident response and system optimization.
