This role requires strong technical expertise, collaboration, and a high level of ownership over infrastructure and platform reliability.<h3>What You'll Bring:</h3><div><h3><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li>Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily on GCP or similar platforms)</li><li>Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on Kubernetes environments (GKE or similar)</li><li>Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible or equivalent</li><li>Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated deployments</li><li>Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud-based systems</li><li>Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support production environments</li><li>Collaborate closely with development teams to improve deployment processes and system reliability</li><li>Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana)</li><li>Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes</li><li>Maintain and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices</li></ul></div><h3>Impact You'll Make:</h3><div><h3><b>Required Skills</b></h3><ul><li>3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with:<ul><li>Cloud platforms (GCP preferred or similar)</li><li>Kubernetes and container orchestration</li><li>CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)</li></ul></li><li>Experience with automation tools (Ansible or similar)</li><li>Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems</li><li>Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)</li><li>Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls)</li><li>Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)</li></ul><div><ul><li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or similar)</li><li>Exposure to microservices architecture</li><li>Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments</li><li>GCP certifications (Associate/Professional) are a plus</li></ul></div></div><div><h3><b>Nice to Have</b></h3><ul><li>Experience with tools such as Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker</li><li>Familiarity with data streaming and observability tools (Kafka, Redis, Splunk)</li><li>Exposure to AI-enabled tools for automation and productivity improvements</li></ul></div>This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.<h3><a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/transunion">TransUnion</a> Job Title</h3>Engineer, Applications Development<p>Originally posted on <a href="https://himalayas.app">Himalayas</a></p>
